Why Write a Book? (15 Minutes on Air)

In this (experimental) hangout I discuss with Ángel Medinilla what he learned from writing his book Agile Management: Leadership in an Agile Environment. He explains the book helped him to get more inquiries for speaking and consultancy.

(Note: Sorry about the video lag on my side. Hangouts on Air did not indicate any bandwidth issues. We only noticed after we had finished.)

Some things I learned from this conversation:

  • Being a translator is for some people an intermediate step on the way to becoming a writer.
  • If the goal is selling the author, instead of selling the book, the price can be anything.
  • Don't trust the bandwidth of my home Wi-Fi.
  • Don't breath into the microphone, and look in the camera.
