As I said before, I have not yet made up my mind about the CMMI…
Next week the Agile Lean Europe network will have its first gathering at the XP2011 conference.
The buzz around our new initiative is simply amazing. At least 17 European countries will be represented in our vision and ideas sessions. There have been pre-conference preparations and discussion all over Europe. People have been tweeting and blogging about it for 2 months. The first ALE project, the Bathtub Conference, is well underway. And there are already people volunteering to organize an ALE2011 conference in Berlin!
In the meantime I am contacted by businesses who are offering sponsorship for ALE network projects that are emerging. And event organizers have asked me to please, please, please also organize an ALE gathering at other local conferences.
It seems I proved the skeptics wrong. We Europeans can self-organize and collaborate across our national borders. Even some of the laggards are now offering help.
I already achieved my goal.
Now let's see what the network itself wants to do…
