If You’re Going to San Francisco…

Warning! This message is completely off-topic, but who cares?

Not me!

I can use some help, so I'm asking.

I will be in San Francisco from October 4 to October 10 to attend a wedding of a good friend of mine. I've been to San Francisco a couple of times before, so I've already seen all those standard tourist traps, like Alcatraz, Chinatown, the cable cars, Golden Gate, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, etc…

But this time, I want to visit some less usual places. Like good restaurants most tourists usually skip, some less well-known events, or sightseeing opportunities, and perhaps some out-of-the-ordinary shopping experiences.

For example:

  • I have been invited by Elisabeth Hendrickson, to play some agile games with a number of other people. I'm very looking forward to that.
  • I will visit the Computer History Museum, to see some "historic" artifacts and stories of the information age.
  • And I will certainly visit Borderlands Books, San Francisco's home for science fiction, fantasy, and
    horror books.

What do you think? Any advice for me?

By the way, if you want to meet me for a cup of Starbucks coffee (preferably with lots of milk, syrup, chocolate and whipped cream), just let me know!
